Noah Kellman – www.noahkellman.com – Jazz Piano Concepts founder Noah Kellman, based in Manhattan, NY, is a graduate of the SUNY Purchase Arts Management Program. He was a member of the GRAMMY Jazz Ensembles in 2009 where he performed with trumpeter Terence Blanchard, and has performed at the Vail Jazz Festival, Syracuse Jazz Festival, in the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, as well as various other venues. His honors include the Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Residency, two ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Awards, as well as eight Downbeat Student Music Awards for outstanding performance as a jazz soloist and original composition. In 2009, Downbeat Magazine selected him as the “Best High School Jazz Soloist” and he was a member of the duo with Nick Frenay that won the 2009 Downbeat award for best high school jazz group in the country. Noah has studied or performed with artists such as John Clayton, Taylor Eigsti, Hal Galper, Lewis Nash, Terri Lynn Carrington, Geoff Keezer, Curtis Fuller, Jane Monheit, Marvin Stamm, Frank Morgan, and Danilo Perez. From 2009 to 2010, Noah attended the Brubeck Institute, where he was fortunate enough to perform with such greats as Nicholas Payton and Christian McBride.
New York based pianist, composer and arranger Steven Feifke has been called “a virtuoso and a highly communicative and creative musician” by Grammy Award winning trumpeter Brian Lynch. Lynch goes on to say that “he is one of the brightest new talents to appear on the modern jazz horizon in some time.”
At just 23 years old, Steven is making a name for himself as an artist to look out for. Since moving to New York City on 2009, Steven has been afforded the opportunity to perform and collaborate with some of the most recognizable names in jazz at venues throughout the world. Notable performances include Jazz at Lincoln Center with Stefon Harris and Chris Potter, Rockefeller Center with Lenny Pickett, and the Blue Note NYC with Brian Lynch. In the fall of 2011, Steven was selected as a semifinalist to the prestigious Thelonious Monk Competition.
As Steven’s passion for music has grown, so has his penchant for writing. His original compositions and arrangements have been played around the world by artists such as Stefon Harris, Paul McCandless, Lenny Pickett, Bryan Lynch, Rich Perry, and Dave Pietro.
Steven can be heard performing live with his critically acclaimed full eighteen piece big band and septet. Steven can also be heard on his studio recorded debut album, “Peace in Time.”
